The Bexar County Medical Examiner confirmed the identity of the infant, who was tragically shot by a toddler in the parking lot of the VA Hospital. During a media briefing, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus described the event as a “terrible tragedy.”
According to early reports, the incident happened when a toddler, who was in the same vehicle as Khamari, somehow gained access to a firearm. The weapon discharged, fatally wounding the baby. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, Khamari was pronounced dead shortly after the shooting.
